Dr. Joseph C. Lau, Founder and Managing Partner of Rocco Design Studio, established his own Hong Kong based design + build practice in 2006. Rocco Design Studio, was co-founded with Dr. Rocco Yim, JP in Hong Kong in 2014, focusing on project management, interior design and contracting, industrial and product design manufacturing. Joseph believes that each project's architectural and interior design solution is unique and he has been drawn into the rigorous interface between landscaping, architecture and interior design as his practice integrates the schematic design seamlessly with the project location, and creates a space that is comfortable, and sustainable to the client's requirements.
After receiving his Bachelor's Degree of Science in Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Joseph went on to Yale University, where he obtained graduate degrees in Master of Architecture and attended the Master of Business Administration Program. He possesses extensive experience with property development and project management, architectural and interior design, master planning, and business planning strategies.
Joseph also received his Doctorate Degree of Public Health with a focus on Community and Family Medicine; he is now an Associate Member of American Institute of Architects, an Associate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects, a Registered Architect in Macau, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee of Nanjing since 2006, the Vice President of Nanjing Fellow Association of Macau since 2013, the Executive Member of China Green Building Council since 2016, and currently the Honorary Chairman of Macau International Industrial Technology Development Association.
